Description
Approved Document F dictates the following requirement:
For dwellings with multiple floors:
- Habitable rooms and kitchens must have a minimum EA of 8000mm2
- Bathrooms must have a minimum EA of 4000mm2
For single storey dwellings (e.g. flats):
- Habitable rooms and kitchens must have a minimum EA of 10000mm2
- Bathrooms must have a minimum EA of 4000mm2
You can use a single vent or multiple vents to achieve the required EA
In addition, the trickle vents must be controllable by the occupant. The SlotVent range is particularly flexible with 30°, 60° and 90° tilt modes to adjust the airflow. Externally, they feature a curved hood for optimum weather sealing.
In high noise areas, or where customers are particularly concerned about draughts, its comforting to know that there is a noise reduction version built in.
